As an interior designer, Alexandra Angle strives to enhance the lives of her clients through design. She creates spaces in which they can lead rich and dynamic lives. Ideally, these are places that reflect who her clients are now and who they wish to become while also combining beauty and comfort. Designing allows her to be part of that process while working with remarkable clients in inspiring places. There’s no happier place for her than when she’s engrossed in the details of creating compelling interiors.
GARDENHEIR CLOGS
My favorite clogs for puttering in the garden and walking my dog. Made in Italy, they are a marriage of Birkenstocks, Le Chameau, and Crocs. Très chic!
COLOR PALETTE
My favorite palette is a that of the cherished East Coast summer: grays of fog and weathered shingles, blues of sea and sky, greens of uncut fields and evergreens, pale cream of sand.
TOILES BY ANNELI SKAAR
Camden Summer Toile by Anneli Skaar makes me happy all year round. What more can I say?
MORIHEI OYSTER KNIFE
Nothing beats a Maine oyster, so I always have my knife close at hand. I learned to cook in Tokyo, so I favor a Japanese one.
LOWE HARDWARE
Jewelry for the home and boat, Lowe Hardware is made right here in Maine. It is the finishing touches—like well-made hardware—that give luster to a space.
TED MUEHLING CANDLESTICKS
A friend gave me a set of these ultra-elegant candlesticks. I keep them in a prime viewing place at home but if I could, I would carry them in my handbag and take them out whenever I needed a shock of beauty.
ETHIOPIAN TEXTILES
Ethiopian cotton has a relaxed aspect that makes it perfect for throws, pillows, drapes—and I can’t do without my Ethiopian coverlet. I even upholstered a chair with fabric from Sidama!
