Beautiful Utilitarian

Amphitrite Studio
Words By Anna Mangum

Katrina Kelley had been sewing long before she started Amphitrite Studio. She joked that growing up, kids liked to change their paper doll’s clothing, and she liked to change all the sheets and tablecloths in her house. Now, she makes earthy yet richly colored kitchen linens, aprons & bath towels to balance beauty with utility in the homes of her customers. “I wish I could show people the mess I wipe up with my white linen towels,” she laughs. “Linen is naturally odor resistant so you can wash it and wipe the slate clean.”

How many uses are there for a linen tea towel? Oh, let me count the ways … Amphitrite Studio’s linen home goods are durable, yet lovely and soft.
