Friends of Acadia’s Annual Benefit

Enjoy their annual silent & live auctions held at the Asticou Inn to support Acadia National Park

This year, Friends of Acadia is hosting its 34th Annual Benefit on Saturday, August 12, 2023, to support conservation work in Acadia National Park, sponsored by The Chilton Trust Company. Its legacy commenced with locals wanting to protect the bounteous nature of Acadia’s coastal mountains, carriage paths, and habitats. Since the event’s grassroots inception, it has transformed into a glamorous evening under the stars with cocktails, food, and bidding.

The benefit is held every second Saturday of August. The vivacious part of the event—a live auction—features a handful of stellar opportunities, from luxurious trips to France to guided ski tours to island stays.

After a two-year hiatus, the energy on the dance floor was electric.

For the silent auction, there are about 80 items on which to bid, such as art, jewelry, home décor, and Maine-based experiences.

Keeping with tradition, the event will be held at the Asticou Inn, but those who wish to may place absentee bids.

This year’s Paddle Raise funds will help Acadia acquire a replacement boat that will be used to access the Schoodic Peninsula and Acadia’s many offshore islands.
