Kim Swan and Decor Maine are partnering with a team of talented designers this summer for the return of the annual Bar Harbor Designer Showhouse. The site of the home, dubbed Hamilton Hill, gets its name from Alexander Hamilton’s grandson who once owned the property. The new build that went up in the 1980’s loomed large over Bar Harbor for both its size and mismatched opulence. “One of the most exciting things about the Hamilton Hill Showhouse is that the transformation will be both interiors and exterior,” says Kim. “The mansion is an extremely conspicuous landmark on Bar Harbor’s landscape making this transformation visible from land and sea.” Inside, a team of 12 designers have paired up to redesign every inch of the interior, and it’s almost ready for the public to explore. Tickets to tour the Showhouse this summer are now available at decormaine.com. A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to this year’s beneficiary, MDI Hospital.
