I love art. When a piece resonates with me, I feel it viscerally. Depending on the piece, art has the power to calm, excite, challenge, please and transport you. When the stars align, interior design is art—rooms become compositions experienced through sight and touch with a point of view. My advice about art is: If you love it (and can afford it), buy it or make it. There’s always a spot for something that sparks something in you.

LAURIE FISHER
I’m lucky enough to have this painting hanging in my office. Laurie is a friend and talented artist. Back in the day we shared an office/studio space.

SCOTT PETERMAN
We’re currently designing a living room around this piece. I own three of his ice house pieces and revel in their careful simplicity.

CIG HARVEY
I love her work. She captures peculiar snapshots of ordinary things in extraordinary situations. I also love the bold colors and use of horizon lines.
